The free learning resources do not require an account. Their practice results and personal notes are stored on your device, rather than sent to a MiniMachi account.
What the pages save
Browser storage can remember your study selection, lesson and practice progress, flashcard records, personal mnemonic notes, character checks, last activity and display or paper preferences. Some one-off lesson rounds last only for the current browser tab.
Progress is tied to this browser and website address. It does not automatically transfer to another device, browser or the MiniMachi game. MiniMachi sets no cookies and has no accounts; your progress and notes stay in this browser and are never sent to a server. Clearing site data can remove it. If storage is unavailable, activities can run without saving.
Text you type into the tools
The keyboard and converters process text in your browser. They do not send the text to a translation or AI service. The keyboard keeps your draft in session storage for the current tab so it survives a reload; its Clear button removes the saved draft. The converters do not save your input. The kanji tool downloads its dictionary from this site when you use it.
Copy uses your browser’s clipboard support when you request it. Following the kanji tool’s external Jisho lookup sends the selected text to Jisho in the link.
Network requests and external services
Your browser requests pages, scripts, images, dictionary files, downloads and recorded audio from the site’s host. Serving those requests exposes connection information such as your IP address and browser request headers to the hosting service. These pages include no external analytics scripts or advertising trackers.
The Textbook and Mincho typefaces (Klee One and Noto Serif JP, SIL Open Font License) are served from this site, so no font service receives a request. Other external sites receive a request when you follow their links.
Generated audio plays as static recordings. Playback does not send your voice to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech. These pages do not request microphone access. The hosting service may keep ordinary server logs of requests, such as IP address, time and page; these pages do not read or use them. For privacy questions, use the contact address below.
Reset practice progress
This removes the shared learning progress, personal mnemonic notes and character-check records from this browser. Chart display and paper preferences may remain. To remove all site storage, use your browser’s site-data controls. Close other MiniMachi learning tabs before clearing site data.
